Coliving combines recurring cleaning, shared spaces, consumables and ongoing operational workflows. For StayClean, it shows how automation can extend well beyond short-term rentals.

StayClean was initially built around the operational reality of short-term rentals. But many of the problems we solve there also exist in other residential and hospitality models.

**Coliving is one of the most natural examples.**

Shared spaces, recurring cleaning, room turnovers, consumables, linen, equipment and multiple residents create continuous operational complexity.

### Different use case, familiar operational problems

A coliving building works differently from a traditional vacation rental. Residents stay longer, spaces are shared and many tasks are created independently of a booking.

Yet the operational needs are familiar: cleaning shared kitchens, checking bathrooms, preparing rooms when residents change, replenishing consumables, reporting damage and coordinating several providers.

### A reservation is only one possible trigger

In coliving, an operation may be triggered by many events:

- a resident move-out;

- a specific day of the week;

- a recurring interval;

- a reported incident;

- low inventory;

- a quality-control requirement.

This changes the role of the platform. StayClean can evolve from a system that schedules a cleaning after check-out into an engine that interprets rules and triggers real-world actions.

### Recurring workflows rather than isolated interventions

A shared kitchen may require daily cleaning, a coworking area three times a week and a room only when a resident changes.

Rules can define which space is concerned, how often the task occurs, who should handle it, which checklist applies and when an exception should be escalated.

### Shared spaces change the quality equation

In coliving, the quality of a communal area immediately affects all current residents.

Frequency, traceability and reaction time therefore become particularly important.

### Cleaning is only the starting point

Other recurring needs also matter: linen, hygiene products, bin bags, kitchen and bathroom equipment, replacement items and checks on shared appliances.

This connection between multiple recurring workflows is exactly what makes coliving interesting for the future development of StayClean.

### From task lists to real orchestration

A dashboard can show that something needs to be done. Orchestration goes further: the system detects the need, identifies the right action, assigns it and tracks execution.

Artificial intelligence can help analyse reports, prioritize anomalies and surface only the situations that genuinely require human attention.

### A platform for places, not only bookings

Coliving illustrates how StayClean’s product vision can expand. A booking is ultimately only one possible trigger.

A date, a resident move, an incident, an inventory level or a recurring rule can also trigger an operation automatically.

**StayClean’s long-term ambition is to build the operational layer that orchestrates recurring real-world tasks until they become increasingly invisible for operators.**
